Davis Cartage recently renewed the lease on their Mason warehouse, which was formerly a manufacturing facility. This facility-turned-warehouse still featured over 300 400-Watt and 1000-Watt metal halide lights throughout. Once Davis Cartage re-upped the lease for an additional five years, it was at that point they knew that they wanted to make some changes to that building and convert the lighting to LED.

Electro-Matic ended up converting all 300+ of their lights to 150-Watt LED fixtures with integrated motion sensors. Doing this allowed Davis Cartage to instantly save roughly 75% on their energy consumption, saving them over $4,000 each month.

Additionally, with the help of Consumers Energy, Davis Cartage earned a rebate of over $56,000 to help offset the cost of the lights and installation. This rebate, along with their monthly savings will help Davis Cartage realize an ROI in just 9 months. This is the third warehouse that Electro-Matic has done for Davis Cartage and they are already looking at Electro-Matic to update a fourth.
