Electro-Matic LED strategy ties energy efficient lighting and electronic signs  

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI — Detroit area LED lighting and LED display manufacturer Electro-Matic Products, Inc. has announced a distribution agreement with Tubelite, a well-known supplier to the on-premise sign and large-format digital imaging trade.

Tubelite is based in Florida with nine locations in eight states serving markets across the East, Midwest, South and Southwest. Electro-Matic manufactures LED message centers and electronic signs, along with a broad line of energy efficient LED lighting.  

“Tubelite is a well-established distributor with a long history of supplying quality products and services to the sign-making business,” said Dave Scaglione, vice president sales and marketing for Electro-Matic Products. “We see this as a terrific opportunity to increase our market coverage and show businesses around the country how high quality LED lighting and messaging attracts customers, improves communication and security, while reducing energy and maintenance costs.”

Jim Turner, vice president of sales at Tubelite is pleased to be bringing EMP LED lighting and visual display products to his energy-savvy customers in high growth markets. “The LED wave is here,” he said. “So we’re glad to represent a solid, employee-owned American company like Electro-Matic Products with a breadth of solutions in that space. Being able to supply our customers with message centers and lighting from the same manufacturer is a big plus. It’s that much easier for them to build an ROI case for both, and do more business.” 

James Baker III, Electro-Matic Commercial Products Sales Manager, says this strategy "offers end users top and bottom-line return on investment. He points to a Small Business Administration report stating that users of LED signage typically see anywhere from a 15 to 150 percent increase in business. In turn, LED lighting is known to potentially save businesses many times the cost in energy and maintenance over a much longer life than conventional fixtures."

Turner agrees. “But they have to be designed right and built right,” he said. “Electro-Matic knows LED technology cold. Their products use the best components and their ISO 9001 quality processes are second to none.”
