Initial Challenges

Patti Engineering had discussed in previous years about making the switch to LED lighting due to the costs savings, but hadn't yet pulled the trigger. Sourcing light bulbs became increasingly difficult and expensive for Patti Engineering. Traditional bulbs were becoming harder and harder to find, and once they were available, the bulbs were ridiculously expensive, and shipping added to the cost. It wasn’t until these sourcing challenges reached a critical point that they decided to make the transition.

Collaboration with Electro-Matic

Already in contact with Electro-Matic Visual, the process began smoothly. Electro-Matic had previously conducted a survey of Patti Engineering’s facility, which laid the groundwork for the upcoming project.

Phased Implementation

Given budget considerations, Patti Engineering didn't want to do the whole project at once. Electro-Matic Visual suggested a phased implementation where Phase One started around April 2023, focusing on part of the downstairs area, and Phase Two, completed the downstairs and addressed the upstairs area in September 2023. This phased approach allowed the team to manage costs effectively without compromising on the quality or timeline of the project.

Quality of the New Lighting

The new LED lights installed by Electro-Matic offered several benefits:

• Adjustable Brightness: The lights came with different color settings. Initially set to the brightest, daylight setting, the team found it too harsh. They could easily switch to a softer setting, improving comfort.
• Versatility: For those who needed brighter lighting, the option remained available, ensuring flexibility for different needs.
