Electro-Matic Visual & Leader Dogs for the Blind
Electro-Matic Visual and Leader Dogs for the Blind have been working together for a long time. In 2015, when they underwent a 14.5 million dollar renovation to upgrade the whole facility, we had the privilege to upgrade their Electro-Matic Visual monochrome, one line LED display with a new 16mm, full-color LED display.
Fast forward to present day, Electro-Matic played a role in upgrading Leader Dogs for the Blind's facilities by installing energy-efficient LED lighting. This upgrade not only enhances the organization’s physical environment, providing better illumination for both staff and clients, but it also contributes to long-term cost savings and sustainability. The new LED lighting ensures a brighter, more comfortable space for training sessions and day-to-day operations, while reinforcing Leader Dogs' commitment to innovation and excellence in service.
Benefits of LED Lighting for Nonprofits
LED lighting offers several key benefits for nonprofit facilities, enhancing both efficiency and cost savings:
-
Energy Efficiency: LED lights consume significantly less energy compared to traditional lighting, which helps nonprofits lower utility costs and reduce their carbon footprint.
-
Cost Savings: LEDs have a longer lifespan, meaning fewer replacements and reduced maintenance costs—an important factor for nonprofits looking to maximize their budgets.
-
Improved Lighting Quality: LEDs provide bright, even lighting that improves visibility and creates a safer, more comfortable environment for staff, volunteers, and visitors.
-
Sustainability: By switching to energy-efficient LEDs, nonprofits can showcase their commitment to sustainability, aligning with eco-friendly values and appealing to environmentally conscious donors.
-
Customizable and Versatile: LED lighting offers flexibility in design, with various color temperatures and dimming options, allowing nonprofits to create an atmosphere that suits their specific needs, from office spaces to community events.
-
Increased Durability: LEDs are more durable than traditional lighting, making them ideal for high-traffic areas or facilities that experience regular wear and tear.
Leader Dogs for the Blind continues to be a beacon of hope and transformation, empowering individuals to achieve greater independence and mobility and we are honored to have been able to work with them.
